Capilano River, October 27th 2011
« on: October 27, 2011, 11:31:57 PM »

around 1~3pm, just kill some time passed that area
saw over half of people snagging fish with long leaders...
water is ok clear, but still a bit dark
casted 3/8 oz red/green/orange mix color spoon into a hole, slow moving water, where most of the fish stack up I thought,
one solid hooked up, female hatchery

had a few more strikes, but maybe all snagging into rocks or whatever...
water level is somewhere in 3~4 I thought

I'm bit surprise coz I never caught coho on spoon in capilano, before it was coz water is too fast and clear, spoon probably too big for them
maybe today water is just doing fine for spoon.

Very nice. Did you see many silver fresh ones jumping in the pools? How does it compared to a couple of weeks ago? With the bait ban coming to an end early next week and this weekend's rain, it might be worth another try next week. :)

Nice! I have yet to get one in the river but I did get one on a croc (red stripe) spoon in the tidal section this year and the spoon I used was larger than the one in your photo.

well I didn't see too many jumpers, like I said water is a bit dark I also didn't see any silver shining under the water due to water clarity
give it a go! I think maybe water in this condition is good for spoon/spinner!

Nice...

Although the first thing I thought when I saw your picture was,  if I laid a salmon on the floor of the house to take a picture I'd be laying beside it with my throat cut too :D
