I'll second that choice! You can take the kids too as there are toys downstairs. Wholesale Sports is just down the road in Burlington. Skagit Arms is in Burlington too. They have a fishing/camping store joined with them. Not sure what the name is though.

Yeah, save a hundred bucks now, but good luck with the warranty. Make sure to have your invoice when those waders leak or your boots sole falls off.

I'd be the first to cross the border for savings, but never on big ticket fishing items...not worth it.

There is a new store in Bellingham off Iowa street called Mayberry's. Nice store and decent prices. Helpful staff...not as much inventory as Holiday Sports in Burlington or Wholesale sports in Burlington. Holiday Sports has everything you could think of.

Yeagers is great.  My wifey and kiddies like it too with all the clothes/toys.  Prices a great.  BUT, knowledgeable staff are sometimes are sparse (much like Army and Navy), so it is best if you know what you want/need.

Dave's Sporting goods off aldergrove crossing has a decent selection as well as Yeagers Sporting goods(from I5 Northwest Ave. exit). If you can drive another 20 mins, I would suggest Wholesale Sports in Burlington as they have a decent selection. I picked up Frogg Togg hellbender breathable waders for under $150 and Korkers Metalhead boots for a reasonable price and they've both worked out well so far.

Nothing beats buying local though as making repore with a tackle shop gives you better benefits other than deals and most especially with warranties. I'll vouche for the Searun fly and Tackle gang as they've been there for all my friends with all things related to fishing. They're local knowledge of the fishery will give you an upperhand on your fishing day. With the economic times being slightly sensitive, every dollor dropped in our local market helps.

Yeagers has knowledgeable staff - just depends on who you ask for what specialty they have. Yeagers is much cheaper than Daves. Check out reel and rod prices. Excessive prices for Lamiglas while Yeagers has a 11'0" Certified Pro for $199 where Fred's price is $369 for the same rod. They give free line when you buy and new reel too. It is only one store but local. Check for coupons but its been around 90 years.  Fly line and braid line is much cheaper.
