Decided after 19 years of fishing the Vedder River to enter into the Fred's Fishing Derby. Paid for it at the store and got down to the canal to fish for 3 hours.

I spoke to a couple of fishermen down at the canal..looks like they were bar fishing. One of them told me he hooked into 2 a few days ago. One wild and one got away.

I walked the canal for about 3 hours but did not hook into anything at all. The water looks perfect though. Well, hopefully next time.
