Lower Pitt River, February 4th 2012
« on: February 04, 2012, 09:29:05 PM »

Beautiful morning, but nothing for me just a whole lot of casting practice, went through a number of flies and fished different depths.
Was another person casting spoons and he caught a few Bull Trout 2 to 5 pounds.

Sorry Dave,
But when the weekend rolls by, the last thing I want to do is drive out to Chilliwack!
From my home I have 1 spot about 10 minutes away, and 3 or 4 about half an hour away.  Then there are the crowds...I rarely see anyone! Plus I'm too cheap to buy a Steelhead tag. If that $$ went to the resource I would have no hesitation, so instead I fish for Bulls and Cutties.
Plus one of the last times I fished the Vedder I got the truck broken into...

Oh and my brother in law went back out to the Lower Pitt on Sunday am and caught 3 nice bull trout on the fly (all on a big green leech) one he said was pushing 6 pounds!

Hope you make it out tomorrow!
I do need to head out that way for work in a week or two.
Will let you know, as I have a few questions for you (not to do with work ,but rod building)
