Cowichan River, February 22nd 2012

Headed back to the Home Run I call it that because it's close to home 10 min drive and im fishing. I have been pounding this stretch all season with my success getting better and better as the season has gone on. After loosing 4 of 4 fish yesterday today was going to be better stuborn as I am i will continue to fish this small spool of vanish untill it's gone bought it may as well use it. Get down to the river and run into 2 other guys who frequent the Home Run weekly as well and they had lost one this morning as well. So on goes the silver colorado and cast after cast into the sweet spot from yesterday and notta. So I decide to check out a few other spots on my circuit and 5 casts into my new location float down ;D and a instant jump and long run the silver bullet runs straight at me and leaps 2 more times right in front  of me and swims behind me into the little side channel I had waded out from perfect place for a landing and i managed to grab the 8lb doe by the tail snap a quick pic and release her. Chucked another 5 or 6 cast into the sweet spot and had 2 more floats dissapear only to have them head shake free. Off to another spot 50 yrds up river and about 20th cast wham a hudge fish explodes and jumps 2 times about 20 feet away from me airbourne cart wheeling and the the dreaded snap of this vanish floro again this fish was well over 15lbs and would have been tough to land. So I Fished all the pockets and holes on the way back to the truck talked to the other fellas on the way and they managed to land 2 fish between them and a couple trout the Cowichan is fishing great this year  ;D
