Tidal Fraser - Any Luck for anyone?
« on: March 22, 2012, 11:00:34 AM »

So far this year flyfishing the tidal fraser in the South Arm has been disappointing, a few hits but nothing landed.
Just curious how others are making out...Where have the Bull Trout gone?

Haven't been out even 1 time this year.  I do recall other years putting a lot of time in sometimes for no fish on many days.  Then there would be the odd day where I might catch 6.

Bait (roe, worms) seemed to work the best for me but after reading an article a couple years ago essentially saying C&R bait fishing kills I have quashed that method.

Was out last week in the tidal fraser, with my spinning set up tossing spinners .... nothing :(  To be honest I have never caught anything before at Gary Point Park in three years of trying in my quest for a bull trout.

I was out at Gary Point last evening chucking spinners.... Nothing. Gonna try over at the North Arm tomorrow evening.
