Not in Chilliwack, what an upset if Gwen holds on with Liberals heading to the bone yard for sure in a year's time. ;D

One thing that kind of fascinates about the relationship between the BC Liberals and the media is the treatment of the BC Ferry Corp, in the late 90's every time  one of the fast ferries sucked up a piece of bark or created a wave it was front page news railing about what a bad investment these boats were. Now one of our German made ships smokes the dock in Duke Point creating havoc at all other ferry docks on the Island and costing the economy of Vancouver Island countless millions of dollars we hear nothing about what caused it. Now , I'm pretty sure that if it was the fault of the captain or some other employee (the government loves to bash it's "overpaid employees") we would have heard plenty about it by now.
So that leaves mechanical error as the main suspect, but the BC newspapers seem to be leaving it totally alone completely, if this is some sort of cover up to protect the BC Ferry Corp from more bad press it seems the media here has bought into it completely.
As for Last nights by elections, it really doesn't matter whether the vote was split or not Gwen still got a higher percentage of the vote than our Prime Minister did in the last federal election, congratulations are in order!!

The BC media regularly sides with the BC Liberal government.
The Liberals have found ways to get the main players on their side by offering employment to them or their spouses.
