Some things I need to get in Vancouver
« on: May 31, 2004, 08:36:32 AM »

The fishing trip I've been putting off for about the last 15 years is  only about 15 days away!  We expect our first stop to be in Vancouver to take care of some of the logistics:  we need licenses, some equiment (I never even considered needing a sinking fly line before this *blush*, and I just checked my flies and they are pretty moth eaten).  What sporting goods store would you recommend?

[edited for potential legal issues - sorry.  When you're up here, you'll probably find these things easily enough anyway :( - DS]

Thanks all.

Hi Doc.  Thanks for esponding.  I don't know where we are staying in Vancouver.  Mostly we are just passing through on our way to Wms Lake and then hwy 20.  We'll probably spend one night there in a motel, but I have no idea where yet,  and then push on northward.

And I'm sorry for pushing it too far.  We'll just muddle through.

NP - we're all in this boat together, trying to get to the other side, without someone pulling the plug too soon :D

Thanks everybody.  What nice folks you are on this board!

For those of you who remember a post I made looking for someone to sit our place on the Urique River in Mexico, we've found someone to be there at least for the summer; but we will be looking again for someone after that.  If you or someone you know needs or wants a place to get away from just about everything for a few months, get in touch with me.

For those of you who remember a post I made some time ago offering to let you stay in our bunk house for free for a week or so, the offer still stands.  Just let me know and I will arrange it.

Nikka in Steveston is an excellent all rounder store. have always had good service and and find they carry lots of different priced goods.  :)
