I have been trolling and also anchor spin casting the vedder between the highway bridge and the mouth of the fraser daily now. No sign of any coho from me or any anglers out there.
There have been a few jacks ( White spring jacks ) and the odd moldy dieing red spring jack.
the odd sockeye **most likely cultus lake run ** so if you encounter don't ware them out on the fight and don't use gloves handeling them. get them revived and on their way asap... their numbers are terribly low.
I was talking to a few guide boats and they are having the same luck. Coho should be comming in better numbers 15th of sept and on.
No one i know has seen a coho this year from the vedder.
i have had one very large spring long line released already though. and i lost my favorite spinner, though that spring was most likely cleaning its gills and moving up north. not the vedder run for sure.
I will be out there in my small 13 ft trolling boat, and PLEASE jet boaters... stop swamping me
its bad enough i have to deal with those greedy seals. i don't need to be swamped from boats going mach 1, 5 feet away from me.
Grab your Spinners and roe and be prepared for the fall invasion... of combatfishers.
Be nice out there fellas and get along.
tight lines to all
