Chilliwack River, October 1st 2012
« on: October 02, 2012, 10:08:17 AM »

got to the river around 7. place was busier than the weekend. anyways no one was in my normal spot so i started fishing. water was down a few inchs compared to last weekend. morning started slow with just a jack spring but started to pick up as the day went by. by 9 i had landed 2 wild bucks both around 10 pounds. good way to start the morning. continued fishing to have my float just barely touched by a coho tasting my offering, set the hook and all i saw from the shore was this big bar of chrome roll sideways. after a great fight a 8 pound hatch buck is on the beach. kept fishing till about noon, managed one more wild fish which i lost at the beach and a few missed strikes. the strikes kept my adrenaline running cause every time a coho would hit all you would see is a bar of chrome trying to shake the hook. all in all a great day. my personal best coho day on the vedder.

Wow! Nice hoe's. I was out yesterday as well but nothing to take home. First run i had one cohoe on and it got away.
second hole, late in the day was in a hole with rolling cohoe's and no one around. Tried everything but the kitchen sink.
Even went smallest presentations wiith no luck other than one chum that tried to commit suicide, but too coloured.

I ran into another fisher a little later in a different hole and he explained that i must have run into the new genetic super cohoe's in the river?
When i questioned him further, he mentioned that they had no mouth's. WHew, what a relief?
And I thought it was just my inability to entice them ::)  ::) ::)
