didnt go today, but the pier has alot of space so is barly busy.
if you were having high hopes for crabbing at ambleside then im sry. from my experiances, ambleside park is 1 of the places with the least crabs ive ever seen.  althought once a fullmoon someone gets a keeper size crab.
as for bait; alot of ppl will use chicken and such. but i usualy use fish such as salmon or bullheads because i once caught a sole that got ripped inhalf by a big crab lol. it was funny.  but then again im not much of an expert in crabbing.

as for fishing, Best bait to worst *in order* IMO is; Sea worms, prawns, fillet'ofish *lol bullheadmeat*,dewworms, chicken.

im not sure if i made any sense cause im listening to loud music :P good luck tomorrow, you might see me there.

Cabezon is awesome BBQ'd..but warning...DON't EAT the ROE..it is HIGHLY TOXIC!

and watch the fin barbs..they can give you a nice sting

Cabezon are great spear fishing prey...you can get some good sized ones..up to 15 lbs
