Kingfisher Boats
« on: May 03, 2013, 08:14:14 PM »

Well I'm thinking of selling my bassboat and buying a new aluminum. I have looked at alumacraft, Crestliner, Princecraft. Princecraft is out they dont impress me at all. My buddy mentioned to me to check out the Kingfisher lineup. I never heard of them till this winter. They now have a couple of dealers here in Ontario. Both are within 3 hrs of where I live. I am looking at the 17.5 ft tiller model with a 90 Opti. The quotes I got are about 30K for boat motor trailer. These are built in B.C. so I figured this would be as good a place as any to get some feedback on them. I will use it for river fishing most of the time but also on the local lakes as well. Anyone here have any experience with these boats? Good or bad, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance.

Kingfishers are very solid boats.
They are also known as Harbercraft for a long time.
All new Harbercrafts are now called Kingfishers as of this year. All models I believe.
Me and 3 of my fishing buds all have 18-19ft model Harbercrafts and they are great.
Ocean ,lake ,river, They see it all.
So if your thinking used......search Harbercraft
Kingfishers were originally the larger versions of the Harbercrafts.
hope this helps ya some

what ever flavour of aluminium you decide to get pay a little extra or look alittle harder and put a outboard with a jet leg on it . When u look at all the crap coming down the river and most lakes around here arnt much better with dead heads all types of leg breaking cupcakes, just get rid of the leg...... and hewes craft is a pretty good option as they have been making river jets for over 25 years I know cause my hewy is 25 and still going, including the outboard jet
