Result for the last month is One chinook.  I looked back a few years and in 2003 there was 93 by this time.

At present water levels the Albion test fishery is not really indicative of chinook run strength but as stated earlier these stocks are in huge trouble and unlikely to rebound due to increasing habitat loss, rapidly changing Fraser River water discharge volumes related to run timing, increasing water temperatures in tributary spawning streams and, wait for it .... overfishing.

A really bad time to be an early timed Fraser River chinook.

4 years ago was one of the worst years ever for early timed Thompson Chinook.

May 14 to June 13 a total of 6 fish.

As I said in a previous post, the future of early run Fraser River chinook is pretty much in the hands of lower river FN.
Lets hope Sto-Lo leaders pass this latest information of poor returns on to their members who fish and, up river FN leaders ensure conservation measures are enacted by downsteam bands.
 
As well, if sporties in the approach areas are impacting these stocks as Nibs earlier suggested they are, on a different thread, shut them down now, or these fish will likely be memories in a few cycles.

Dave - I agree with all you said but experience tells me that you cannot simply rely on these guys doing 'it' without some sorts of enforcement. The numbers are very disappointing if not alarming for some...
