Athey Rd fraser access, Wingdam
« on: June 02, 2004, 07:16:11 AM »

??? This launch is shut down, they have placed 3 large bolders across the access to the launch.

What is the deal? Any idea when they will open this up?
Where else can I put into the fraser off of HWY 7.

Dewdney Regional Park has a good launch, no riff raff like the Deroche launch. You can also launch at Kilby on the Harrison.

Looked at the launch but the river looks really big there. I have a 12 ft with 9.8 and am not to sure of the river there as I have never been in this part of the fraser.

Ps thanks for the reply Doc.

a friend of a friend works for the farmer next to wing dam, she told me the cars being stolen last year were up to 3 in one day, being taken for joyrides and  trashed mostly. She also told me the wingdam has gone downhill in the last 10 years fer spring fishing.
