Coquihalla Lakes recommendations?
« on: September 03, 2013, 02:14:10 PM »

Looks like I might be heading up that way with my wife and bro-in-law this weekend.  Any tips on patterns that have worked well for you in the past?

I fished the lake in July and did great! I had to change patters every 15 min but every time I changed I had a hook up.maroon leeches worked great so did olive woolybuggers. I would start with leeches and fish them in standard colours

If your staying at the lodge they should have up to date reports. email or call ahead so you have time to tie or buy flies.

this time of year its usually leeches, dragons any big dries that may hatch, etc because fish are trying to fatten up for winter

Thanks guys, good info!  I know we were there a few years ago around the same time of year and came across hatches multiple days in a row... here's hoping we catch one of those again :)
