Coloured lure stickers
« on: September 21, 2013, 11:15:38 PM »

Does anyone here know where to buy coloured lure stickers?

I have an old Gibbs Sil-Vex spinner in black with bright orange dots aka Mepps Black Fury knockoff (over 15 years old, but the exact same lure is still sold in stores) and these people at Gibbs actually used a sticker for lure colour decorations! Unfortunately, poor quality glue was used so after a few fishing trips, the sticker would become loose. Now, the sticker is gone, I will probably need to add colour to the black coloured lure.

I wonder if I call or write an email to Gibbs, would they send a sticker for the lure?

Thanks, I'll check them out, but I might also send Gibbs an email about the problem with their sticker decorations for their lures.

Yeah, seriously. Maybe I do need a new lure, but I only fished the lure only like 5 times in total. Less than 5 hours of total fishing time with the lure itself. The lure itself was never used in saltwater, so it has no rust marks but the black paint used on the lure is cheap too - it started chipping on the third time I've used the lure while casting from a dock in Lake Athabasca.

The funny part when I was fishing the lure in Lake Athabasca was that a scuba diver spotted the lure spinning in the water and he surfaced and told me that, "you're using that to catch fish in this lake?"

Oh, I never caught anything with it.
