Greetings New Here...
« on: October 06, 2013, 04:36:54 PM »

Hope everyones having a good Sunday afternoon. I am a long time lurker and first time poster, I just had a couple questions about the fall/winter fishing so far.
I wanted to find out if anyones visited the upper or mid Coquitlam river, we went there a couple years back and some great success, we were very surprised (referring to the jack in profile picture)  my buddy pulled out. I also wanted to find out if there is any fish in the Stave and Chehalis yet? I lack a boat so until it drys out a bit Stave may not even be an option.

If it make a difference, I tend to lean towards fishing with a Spey. Thanks all!

For the supreme test of a fisherman is not how many fish he has caught, not even how he has caught them, but what he has caught when he has caught no fish.

May as well make the comment before someone else does in regards to fish being in the Stave or Chehalis ... best bet is to go out and find out for yourself. You can do a search on past threads regarding these systems to get a rough idea of when they should be coming in.
