Can you replace vibram material on wading boot? if so, worth it?

Hi guys,
I have a size 12 Simms wading boot on Vibram (about 2 years old). However, the Vibram material (even with the studs) are becoming flat. Can it be resole?
Is it worth to get it resole? or better off getting a new one?
and if so, where can I get it done in the lower mainland and how much do they usually cost for my size 12?

I used to buy standard work boots for hunting because there was a type that fitted well and then have a vibram sole installed.  The shoemakers had no problem with that.  I presume they can still do it.

IMO the Vibram doesn't give much traction on rocks.  It would be more cost effective to screw in some more studs.

I resoled my boots myself last weekend.

I'm no cobbler and it took me maybe an hour in total time and cost under $50. Remove the old soles using a box cutter, glue on new felts using aqua seal (shoe goo would work too, its just what I happened to have around), screw in some new starbites and voila! Just as grippy as a brand new set of boots.

i was in the same boat last year, used the simms link to a cobbler who quoted $80 plus tax. ended up just buying a new p[air of felt simms for $120 plus tax. I always liked the felt for river rocks more.

Thank for the great information. So where did you get your vibram material? do they fit exactly the same? or should i get a larger piece and trim the edge?
