Worms
« on: January 15, 2014, 08:45:11 AM »

Hey guys, trying to get some worms but dont want the reg compost or dew worms.
The ones I am looking for are reg garden worms, they look like a dew worm but are 1/2 the size or less
Any tips on finding them during the colder months.
I tried flooding the lawn with the sprinklers but no luck.

Slap the ground with a shovel, then dig them up.

Mix dish soap and water pour it on the grass, worms will start coming to the surface within a few seconds

You can drive two metal rods in the ground about 3 feet apart and hook a 12 volt battery up to them.

I just stick the shovel straight into the ground as deep as you can then shack the shovel and the worms come right out of the ground. If they don't come within the first minute or so then move shovel to a different area of the lawn. I have also used a sturdy stick when on the river with some results but a shovel in the lawn works the best.

These are all stupid suggestions. Sorry guys...

The best way to obtain worms from your lawn is to strip buck naked, slather yourself with mayonaisse, and roll around on the lawn at midnight while singing show tunes. If you don't have mayonaisse, Miracle Whip or salad dressing would also work.

Good luck and good fishing!
