buy a boat.
« on: April 30, 2014, 08:26:54 AM »

ey gents,
I'm looking to buy a small car topper/ throw in the the box of my truck, boat.
Looking for an aluminum 10 foot jon boat. I've been looking at dealerships for a boat. I can get a 10 foot 32 inch base for 800 but I'm looking for a 10 foot 36 inch and those are 995. Tracker topper sells a 1036 for cheap (ish) but I can't seem to find anyone who sells tracker.... any ideas?

Avoid the 1032. They are extremely unstable and just no fun to fish out of.
Some people have them and like them, but I think it's more to increase the challenge.
Can't help you with the other questions.

I want something that I can have for a long time, inflatables last for 15 years then start to deteriorate. They have a very small deckspace for size.  They also don't like barnacles or oyster shells. Inflatables are great little boats... just not what I am looking for.

I have an Achilles 12 ft inflatable which is 21 years only and still looks spanking new. It is very portable and light only 140 lbs on a 15 HP engine it flies. A great seaworthy boat.
