Natives near hope net big fish
« on: June 17, 2004, 05:52:18 PM »

I was out fishing on the Fraser today and while at the launch the lady there told us that the natives up near Hope netted a 70 pounder  :o  wow! what a fish that must have been.
Short report, no fish for us :( river very high, visibility 2-3 inches, we did see 2 fish landed yesterday, an 18lb and a 32lb and one today looked in high twenties. but very little debris coming down compared to last week so it should be getting better soon.

mentioned this to a buddy and we got into a disscussion about red - white springs, no idea really but thought that whites started to come up later in the year so this bigg 'un must be a red spring, anybody able to clarify this or add some facts-thoughts?

there MIGHT be the odd white spring now, but i doubted. most likely a red.
