Nice photos especially at 70' depth- your mystery fish is some type of sculpin, possibly a roughback sculpin..not entirely sure though.

I put my go pro in one of my traps at ambleside, had it soaking for 2 hours. Pulled it up and there was not a single crab inside.  Watched the footage, and 3 seala were basically flipping my trap all over the place. Too bad I didnt see anythig but pop cans and chip wrappers. Try tossing the go pro at belcarra park !

Those three seals are famous for destroying cheap traps filled with chicken.  Use another bait or a wire cage.

There is one seal who damages traps in the Belcarra area, but he isn't as aggressive.
