Fishing for springs
« on: June 22, 2004, 10:08:39 PM »

I just purchased a new fishfinder and i am going to fish mostly for chinook. I have fished since i was 3. Im only 14 so i have fished lots but i dont ushually captain the boat and choose the depths. I am familiar with salmon fishing and i know all the setups and what not but i am not sure how far off of the bottom i should troll. Im guessing 5-15 feet. Any help about this or any salmon fishing tips would be great.

ps Bottem fishing is boreing and nott nearly as sporty as salmon fishing. I have seen the light and i now only salmon fish unless i go for snapper or (hali which doesnt exist reall near were i live so its out of the question)   ;D

I'm guessing that you're talking about ocean fishing right ?
