Chilliwack River, October 24th 2014
« on: October 24, 2014, 09:38:31 PM »

Fortunate to have a day off of school and avoid the weekend crowd. Water was perfect all day but dropped quick. Both of us limited out and landed about 15 coho during the day. 9 straight hatchery fish before the first wild so I guess we were lucky. Highlight of the day was my dad hooking a fish and having it roll and come off. He threw a cast right on top of that same spot with just the skein and the float went down within 3 seconds. Lost/missed many more fish and had 4 chum and 4 springs during the day too. All 3 of us fishing the run limited out. Perfect day with the crowd situation very good. Don't think you're gonna be able to say that tomorrow tho. Water should be great this weekend. Fish were aggressive with the higher water and there were multiple fish that we had to cut up to get the hook out. Visibility was 3-4 feet and first light then moved to about 5-6 after a few hours.

No lack of fish to prevent limits, its keeping em on the hook that makes it hard  ;)

Or in my case yesterday, having them fall out of your hand after tailing them.
