Sea-Run’s River Report & Courses Update - April 3rd

Good Friday!

Steelhead fishing is still in full swing depending where you are fishing. Places such as the Vedder/Chilliwack River will see new pushes of fish right through the first part of May. This time of year you could run unto various conditions of fish. Fish that have just entered the system, fish that have been in the river for a long time, and fish that have kelted (spawned out) and are on their way back out. You could run into these fish absolutely anywhere on the river system, but your better concentrations of "new" fish will be found in the lower to mid stretches of the river. River levels still remain quite high for this system, so make sure you are focusing on fish holding and fish moving water. This means closer to shore in most spots, or back channels and branches of the river that are deep enough for fish to hold in. April is also a great month to bring out the fly/spey rod as well.

On a side not from the Rivers, we are now seeing some interior lakes icing off in the lower elevations so this is something to look forward to in the very near future.
