So I lost my license and want it replaced. I've heard 4 different stories on how to do it, but tracked down that I need to fill out a "statement of Loss". Now I am told  I can take the stastement to any BC drivers license issuing office and pay a fee to replace it.

Is this true?; if not where do I go. I live in Vancouver.

Thanks

The site does not tell me if I can replace my license at a driver's license issuing office. I called one of the vendors on the list they said they do not re-issue licenses.

  • I'm a llama!

I've lost mine before, and was told that the only place to get them is the Maple ridge Gov. Office.  Go early as the mid-day lineups are brutal!

had to replace mine lat year at the Gov agents office ,swear an affidavit etc. pay full price for tags, I did get my fishing licence years ago at the downtown Motor vehicle branch but I understand that is now run by ICBC and they don't issue tags etc.You would think that goverment would set up a one stop shop system to cut down on facilities overhead.

finding your limits is fun, it can also be VERY painful.

Why not just buy a new license!!
The Govt neither knows or cares as long as you have one when checked.
I once lost my Freshwater license and when I phoned asking about how to replace it some nasty old hag started giving me the third degree about going to New Westminster.
I just snapped at her-"I'll buy a new one you don't know the difference".
I did and they don't end of story.
