I hope they lift the campfire ban so I can get back to enjoying an outdoor fire and a few wobbly pops. ;D

I'm not sure it's going to be enough at this point. A lot of it will wash away quickly.

if there is 60 to 70mm of rain on the north shore mountains it will at least put some water back in the reservoirs. Even if the rivers don't rise much or for more than a day or two they will get very messy. Water temps are dropping already with cooler nights. The Fraser is back in the good range for most fish. I don't think we'll see temps rise much again. Longer range forecasts include more showery weather so that bodes well.

Nothing wrong with that, you can still catch fish. :) it keeps away the yahoos too.

Was out this morning. The rain certainly kept a lot of fishermen away.

I think I actually saw some dampness on the Capilano cam....shocking; I know.  Rivers don't appear to have bumped yet.  Maybe tomorrow after the heavy rain.

Additional weather warnings in effect for Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Strong winds and heavy rain are expected. Trees have been falling down in some parts of the LM so be safe on the roads. https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?bc40
