I went to go out on Friday Nov. 6 and as driving to Fort Langley I realized I need some fuel in my gas tank for the boat.
I stopped in at the Mohawk in Fort Langley and put 15l in and the appropriate amount of 2 stroke oil.
Got set to go and the engine would not turn over and stay running.
Today, I got 5 l of non-ethanol gas and mixed it, drained the engine, pumped the new gas in and away she went. No problem!

The question is: how do I get rid of the "bad" gas without losing my tank or having to purchase another just to hand it in when I go to the recycling center.
It is 15l worth.

Yea they give you money for your tank but max is $6.00 - new tank is $35 - $40

Put it in your (gas running) vehicle. Or if you're in Langley bring it to my house and put it in my wife's car. It will be fine, I've put old (I mean old) gas in my wife's car a few times. Every fall / winter she gets all the old 2 stroke boat gas, 2 stroke trimmer blower gas, and lawn mower gas.

If you have a weed problem anywhere on a gravel pad or something it's great weed killer.

When I was younger I used to put it in my 66 mustang with 10.5:1 compression 331ci stroker, and it choked it down with a full tank of 94 no problem.

Ditto. Thrown many of tanks of bad gas in the truck. No codes sent ever.

Bad gas can be taken to many municipal recycling depots and dropped off.  My last experience was with the City of Richmond and they would take your jerry can with the bad fuel and exchange it for an empty jerry can.  I don't think they'll let you dump the fuel into a larger container.  Check around if this is done in your community.

It must be in an approved flammable liquids container.

you could put it in some containers and drop it off at any Canadian tire
or message me and you can bring it to my work in mission
where we have appropriate facilities to take care of it

Thanks for the offers and suggestions.
I've solved the problem.
I gave transferred the "bad" gas into another container that I got at Princess Auto.
I will occasionally pump a liter or 2 into my truck when I have a full tank.
I also put gas stabilizer into it.
