Ice Fishing - Bleeding Fish

Just looking for a consensus, or opinions. If I catch a fish along the river, or in a lake and intend to keep it I will always bleed it. I will be up working in the North again this winter and will doing a lot of ice fishing on my day off. Do people bleed their fish while Ice Fishing, or because it is so cold there is no need? I do think it tastes better, but I also don't want to leave a scene from a horror movie all over. I have iced fish in Northern Alberta a fair bit, but that was with locals who don't bleed there fish regardless so that isn't much help.

Doesn't hurt to cut the gills and leave it in a bucket of water. The water should allow the fish to bleed without freezing too quick.

Slit it's throat/rip the gills and dip the head in the hole.
