Alouette Lake, May 7th 2016
« on: May 07, 2016, 09:57:28 PM »

Fished Alouette again today for maybe 2 hours (had my 6 year old son and his friend out so had to mix things up a bit) of our total time there. Fished along the south bank near the stumps again. Marked lots of fish on the finder down near the bottom. Weather was hot and sunny. Lots of wind in the afternoon when we were there that died down as the sun went down a bit. Water temp was 55-56 degrees F on the finder. Had no success today trolling gang trolls/wedding band (no weight) and a flasher & mini-pink hootchie on the down rigger.  I also fished both rods on the down rigger with spoons south of Gold Creek beach hoping for a Char but no luck either. A fair amount of pleasure boaters on the lake today. Not the busiest I've seen it but boating season is definitely in full swing with the weather.
