New at fishing... Lovin' It
« on: July 20, 2004, 10:27:01 PM »

Hi there. I am new this board and thought I would introduce myself.
My name is Rob. I used to fish with my dad occasionally when I was younger, but he hated it, so I guess I hated it too. But now that i'm all growed up I found out that I really like it. I fished for the first time in a long time about 2 weeks ago, now i'm into the sport about 500 bucks and 45 hours. I am 27 and had never in my life caught a fish, (other than one I bonked as it swam by when i was 11) But the other day I de-virginized myself. I went out with a buddy to a secluded spot on the Vedder and landed a Sockeye, about 7lbs. (ofcourse I released it unharmed). I can't wait now to land my first Spring or Sock that I can take home.
Well, that's me, (fishing related anyways).
See you guys out there I guess.

You are right, shouting fish-on is a great feeling. But I said that was the first time I caught a fish, I didn't say it was the first time I yelled fish on  ;D Oh no, I fought a snag on the Vedder a week ago for about a half hour and dragged er' in only to find out it wasn't a fish. I now know the difference from the two.
P.S. I'm selling a 165/65/16 all season tire if anyones interested.

Welcome aboard, Bird.  People on this site are really helpful, and if you want to get involved, they often get together to do things that promote fish and fishing.

Heheh Max. Not sure if you realise what that is and like pulling my leg, or don't realise what that is. That was my hair for a couple weeks while the European Cup was on. And my hair has zero mold content, as far as I know.

I was going downtown alot when I had my hair like that. I got to feel what it feels like to be famous. People couldn't not talk to me.  Can't wait til the world cup.
Oh yeah, and i'm Italian, so things didn't go so well for me.
BTW I'll change that picture to me holding a fish, the day I catch a fish that I can keep. (which I hope will be on friday)
