The Seymour Salmonid Society in North Vancouver is hosting its annual general meeting tonight between 7:30pm and 9:30pm. The meeting will be held at Canlan Ice Sports (2411 Mount Seymour Parkway) in the second floor meeting room. Refreshment will be provided.
The group is excited to announce that it will have two guest speakers at the event. Sam Fougere, Senior Engineering Geologist from BGC Engineering, will be giving a presentation about the Seymour River Rockslide Mitigation Project and the work that took place this year. This will be followed by a presentation from Dave Harper from the Rivers Institute at BCIT, regarding the restoration work that’s been done on the Seymour River estuary and progress to date.
Over the years lots of effort and time have been invested by dedicated volunteers to restore this precious urbanized stream. If you fish around North or West Vancouver, you should consider attending this AGM and get involved in this fantastic organization.
