Thanks Rod, I enjoyed the video. Did you like fishing from an inflatable kayak? I was thinking of buying something like it for myself.

Nice video.

Did the helicopter crew supply the fishing gear and the kayaks?

Wow looked like a lot of fun.
In a sense it seemed like yous were on another planet.
No shortage of fish & good bite.
Good to see BC has a few of these lakes still around.
( in reality plenty of lakes with tons of fish are to be had if a person can get access to them )
Good adventure & surely heli co. is going to get extra phone calls.

Great vid! And yes there are quite a few lakes like that surrounding the Fraser Valley, and a good set of hiking boots will get you to many of them  ;)

Thanks. The inflatable kayaks were pretty fun to paddle around with and easy to use. I prefer to fish a little higher off the water, but for what we were doing (packing four of them onto the helicopter) it was good. Nick is the owner/operator of Compass Heli Tours. He's just starting out with these tours and has been a heli pilot for over ten years. He supplies all the kayaks, fishing gear too but we brought our own fishing gear of course since I was pretty particular on what I'd like to use.

That's an amazing location, almost like your own private lake. Be careful though, once you get used to that kind of treatment you wont be able to go back to fishing beside us regular people.

Don't worry Dan, come October I'll still look forward to being blinded by your headlamp at 4am on the bank of the Vedder.
