« on: August 05, 2017, 01:14:39 PM »

Hi, as i do not want a ticket and tried calling the fisheries maybe soemone on here can help me. So i know the pink retention is 1, but my question is am i able to fish at the mouth or just past the mouth of the mamquam on the squamish? since thats below the power lines? any info on where i can fish would be awesome, im looking at google satellites but really dont want to go off that and end up with a ticket. Thanks guys

Here is my interpretation.

If the main stem Squamish is open where the Mamquam enters it, you are allowed to fish the Squamish.  Draw an imaginary line from the north bank to south bank of the Mamquam mouth and ensure that you or your line/hook do not go into the Mamquam.  The problem will if be if the mouth of the Mamquam is quite braided and the bank to bank line is hard to define - use caution.

No map accompanies the closure notice therefore, it is up to the angler to do his/her due diligence which is what you are doing by asking this question - good on you!

If I remember correctly, the Mamquam is probably cleaner water than the Squamish so always make sure your hook is in the dirty water and you should not have a problem.  Good luck.
