crab fishing sat.14
« on: August 15, 2004, 11:18:24 AM »

we launched our boat from Cates park early afternoon and headed towards the bridge and put the traps out near the reserve in in about 50 feet of water, did a bit of bottom fishing while waiting and caught a few nice flounders, and one huge tommy cod, have seen better days for bottom fishing, checked the trap had a couple of keeper crabs about 15 undersized in one trap, as we were checking the traps an ignorant native women starts yelling at us"HEY you are on native land!" I laughed and yelled back, no actually im not on land im in the water you retard! it kind of put a damper on a nice fishing trip , but i kept my distance and decided to let it go, and moved  to a different spot. It was my belief that the waters belonged to everyone?

I have had them cast their weighted treble hooks at my kayak out past the mouth of the Cap. Again..the work of a few trouble makers...but still - disturbing non the less.

I've seen sparkplugs being used too...  Sparkplugs used with the trebles can be cast pretty far...
