Old skool day....

Willow branch,spool of old line,  bring a jar of dew worms.....   - a bit of current on the tide is best .

A fire and a jug of sumas mountain-straiton  moonshine....  Telling a bunch of BS stories full of exaggerations about your summer hot days spent swimming in Hougen and McDonald Park dodging cow patties........

yes. Very snaggy in parts and better when the water is on the low side.

Its not similar to salmon fishing when water level is around the same? Although I'm not sure how many logs are in there after the flood.

With the right water conditions and the right timing of tides, fishing in the canal, and lower, can be great. Several local anglers do very well over a season.
