I was wondering how many sunfish you can keep from the lakes.

Thanks!

Check regulations in your area and specific lake.

basically, like all invasive or other non-game fish, unless there is a limit specified in the Provincial, Regional or Specific waters regulations you can take as many as you want!

so Trout, salmon, char, bass and some other species have a limit but sunfish do not. Take as many as you think you will want to eat

What do you do with them? Do you eat them? If so, how do you prepare them? Or are you using them for garden fertilizer?

I eat them, really tasty - I use turmeric, ground pepper, salt, lemon, red powdered chilli and fry them or dip them in hot batter and fry. The tail side becomes cripsy and can easily chew the bones. I havent tried anything else apart from pan frying
