Has Fisheries put out any numbers?
did the fish enter the Fraser?
what about the hatcheries, were their returns below normal?
this is without a doubt the worst year for me (coho),including my very first year in 1984.23 hrs of fishing for 2 clean hatchery coho and one nots so clean unclipped on the Chiliwack/Vedder
6 hrs on the Chehalis for zip.

Put me on the 'worst coho fishing ever' list.

I certainly did not put in as much time as I could, but all the same, dismal results.

Not too pumped about going to the Chehalis.

Looked at my book, 1999, 2000 and 2001 was a good coho year in the Chehalis.

What's up? Even though there are lots of nets out there, there isnt much more then what used to be beyond more blatent illegal netting.  I think the fish numbers are getting low and regulations are not being modifided to meet the dwindling numbers.  Im wondering if lower quotas and much harder stands on drift netting might be important to keep it sustainable.

I'm having a pretty good coho year. But what do you expect when you don't have a job and get to fish 3 or more time a week  ;D

Haha you got it. Actually I'm supposed to be in Edmonton right now except an accident in the summer kept me from going back this semester.

Actually I live about 5 minutes walking from the north saskatchewan river. I've never bothered to fish there even though I have a bunch of fishing stuff up there. Maybe I should give it a whirl this spring.
