April 1, Vedder, Dirty
« on: April 01, 2005, 01:57:35 PM »

Just got back from checking the Vedder River at the Freeway Bridge and the water is too dirty to fish.

Has the freshet started?

I made the trip out from Surrey this am, lickman had 12" visibility but I am sure it got worse as day went on. Fishing is marginal up river at Alison and Cedar runs about 12" visibility and raining fairly steady on and off all day and going down hill fast. Checked KWB on my way home at 1.00pm Choco milk. saw a total of about 20 fishermen today same story everywhere, no fish to be had.
Save your gas money. oh yeah 64.5 cents a ltr at Watcom gas stations  :D

Sorry that my report may have you made you drive up for nothing this morning. Of course with the recent slide on the Tolmie things can be a bit unperdictable.

At least you saved a little money on the gas as I hear it is over a dollar in the City now. :o

Fished only a half hour after checking out the water. Muddy muddy muddy. Did see a few new trees in the river. Up almost a foot. At around 5pm there was huge wind, did anyone else feel it?
