went to sasamat lake docks were packed but fish were biting  caught to rainbows ,on float and shrimp one of rainbows what quite good size for that lake at 1.5 lbs good lake check it out

how deep were you going ? which float were you on  ?

any flaot is fine
use a bobber stropper for about 10-12 ft down

This time of the year I've done well just fishing 2 to 4 feet below the surface, especially when the fish have just been stocked. A small float like a Drennan crystal avon would work well. Go light, 4lb test line is good enough.
