Was out on Mike Lake today and nothing. A few fish jumping but nothing significant. It was just too hot. That lake is very shallow so the water warms up very fast. Nice to be on the lake with nobody on it though. Nice and peaceful.

Fished Buntzen Lake this am, caught 2 Rainbow's...1 was waaaay to small to be attacking my spinner, and the other was a nice little guy, jumped all around like the water was boiling.  I can't seem to find Buntzen in the Freshwater guide, so I wasn't able to see bait restrictions or anything.  Anyways I used a plain silver Mepps spinner which I equipped with a single barbless.  What's the legal keepable size for the rainbows again???  I thought I read 30 cm somehwere...

http://wlapwww.gov.bc.ca/fw/fish/regulations/synopsis.html

In region 2 (lower mainland), "there is no general minimum size limit for trout in lakes."  The 30 cm minimum size refers to streams (where you may only retain hatchery trout anyway, except for Jervis Inlet and points north).
