« on: June 23, 2005, 10:37:47 PM »

Have anyone been to the triangle road by silvercity lately?  I was trying to catch some salmons today.  Didn't even get a single bite.  so I wonder if anyone have been catching it in richmond.  I used all the stuff i have, egg row, fake egg, spinner.  Doesn't seen to be working in Richmond I guess!!

Just got back from Triangle Beach. Was there from 5-6:30pm but didn't catch anything. My bro hooked two little 2.5ft sturgeons but only landed one. Saw a lot more jumping though.

Go down no.6 rd towards SilverCity. Triangle is on your left hand side right before SilverCity. Turn left and just follow the road all the way down to the very end.

Wow...cool!

People fishing in Richmond!

Well, i guess thats nothing new...I used to go down to Garry Point before it was Garry Point and fish for bullheads.

Anyways...I've never tried Bar fishing and I'd love to get into it.

Just wondering if anyone is willing to help out a newbie.  I know how to tie standard fishing knots and I've got most of the gear I need.  I just need some help/tips on how to Bar fish.  I guess the hardest part is finding a good book to bring with you!!  ;D

If anyone is heading down to Triangle or anywhere on the Fraser in Richmond/New West...let me know.  I'd love to hook up (pun intended!) and find new fishing buddies!

Feel free to e-mail or pm me!

Still somewhat early to bar/bottom fish around Richmond as the water too high and dirty, and the fish are not around yet. Right now it'll just be catch and release for dollies and sturgeon, you might be lucky to find the odd chinook salmon. Wait until late September and October, you'll find plenty of chum and coho salmon at the locations mentioned above.

Pink fishing in Richmond should be pretty good by around 30th of August. Usually the last couple of days of August, I find a lot of fish around Delta area, then it fires up on Richmond south side during the first week of September. Don't ask me why, the same pattern has repeated itself in the last four seasons. The run two years ago was so big that pink fishing was still good until the first week of October down here. There were two days (a couple of days just before the big flood) when we actually intercepted schools of pink, coho and chum salmon (plus a couple of cutties) during the incoming tide.
