New Sturgeon Scent
« on: August 06, 2005, 01:22:08 PM »

Picked up last week from Riverside Fly&Tackle 2 bottles of Catcher Co. Smelly Liquid and Jelly "EEL/Lamprey" scent. Have been trying it out and getting a fair amount of bites but no landed fish with it yet. Pick some up and try it out. ;)

Catching a Sturgeon is as simple as leaving the rod in the holder until the brute hooks himself-you are doing something wrong!
As to those 'bites' they are most likely Bullheads/Chubs and the like.

Ya right, I have plenty of experience to Sturgeon picking up my bait and dropping it then picking up the rod to hook them on the next bite. It's called skill.

Aaron-the fish are there mouthing the bait all along-they are not dropping it.
That 'skill' you talk about is just inexperience. ::)
Let the fish hook himself it's that simple.

now that you can't buy lampery's or ditch eels, this may just be the ticket. I will have to get over there and buy some. Thanks for the tip.
