Indian River by road
« on: August 11, 2005, 03:50:18 PM »

I was up in Squamish today, so decided to take a short drive to the Indian River gate.  B.C. Forest Service has posted a metal sign stating that the road and bridges are washed out.  The gate was locked tight.

A posting from another site said that helicopter and boat were the only way in.

depends how far up the river you want to go. There is an impassable falls about 6 or 7 miles up from tide water.

i think it took us 15 minutes doing 50 on a gravel road in order to reach the ocean from where we were. but u can fish all the way up to that spot im guessing as i saw many ppl along the route.
