Thank you Clarki.  Your answer is good for me. It seems tide direction has no effect.
Just to clarify what I meant is water current usually moves at an angle to the beach. Similar to that of a stream with head and tail flow.
Was just wondering if it matters if you cast into current flow or against flow.
Since you cast all around that means current isn't an issue.

Thank you for the help. Oh and by the way I caught my first over at Sunshine Coast. Small though. only 6 inches. But hey that was my first  ;D

Oh, I thot you meant current as in "present". Hence my confusion...

Congrats on the little tiddler 6"er. Where there's one, there's generally more and where there's little ones, there's generally bigger ones. Keep it up and save some for me!
