Not really much to report here, arrived near Alex Fraser Bridge and had a very slow morning with not a lot of fish jumping (7-10 am) on the incoming tide.  Watched the wildlife (beaver and a seal) and counted at least 3 sturgeon jump  .  Those are quite the acrobatic fish when they want to be. 

Anyway, had a massive strike on the pink croc and played this fish in thinking it might be the first salmon for the cedar board, but it turned out to be a massive pikeminnow.  Quite surprised at how hard they can hit.  Quick turn of the pliers and it was gone.  Lots of little guys jumping about near the shoreline but a fantastic morning to be out.  Could have done with more action though, but better than sitting in traffic and going to work.

Two years my brother and I were fishing for pinks and he had a tremendous hit on a spoon. Much to our surprise it was a pikeminnow !

I was trolling  a lake for trout and had the same thing happen, Pikeminnow,   at least they put up some what of a fight. even targeted them in another lake for fun.
