Ya... fishersak is right, fishing beside Rod sometimes can make u look bad and pressured sometimes :-\ Every time he hook a fish, my mind say... i should hooked one too to be even with him. Good thing I did managed to at least landed one Pink today and a very nice sockeye (released) of course.  It was a surprised that it really take my orange stripe spoon(homemade), right in the mouth Right Rod??  Good day after all, but could be better if I outfish Rod  ;)

There are some individuals in the area who would only intentionally snag fish by tying two treble hooks on the line above a pencil lead. I've seen them on Shady Island, No. 3 Road, Garry Point Park. One has claimed that he is native so he is entitled to fish that way. If you encounter this, phone DFO Steveston please. Please let them know when and where this is taking place, and describe the individuals carefully. Phone number: 604-664-9250.

Perch, after the tenth hookup, it seemed the tension was high so I decided to stop fishing and avoid being thrown into the water. ;D

Looking forward to the next three weeks of pink salmon fishing. :)

Thanks Mark. ;D

cohokid, there are several accesses to the Fraser River in Richmond. If you head south on No.2, 3 and 5 Roads, you'll find a road that runs along the river. Anywhere along here is good for fishing as the salmon have to move through there.

If you are interested in Delta, River Road between Alex Fraser Bridge and the tunnel can be excellent as well.

I made a short trip to the fraser this evening.  Saw a couple rise but that was it.  Some guys said they were surfacing a few hours before.  The natives were also out netting.  I will try to time the tides better next time.
