I ventured out for a bit this evening after picking up Ross UK from the airport, he had a blast at the Langara Fishing Lodge, more on that later.
Bumped into Scruffy, Pierboy, Perch and his dad. Perch's dad apparently hooked three and landed one just before I arrived. I then went to another spot and saw chrome mykiss' dad fishing. Lucky was also there, a bit further downstream. I asked CM's dad if he had any luck, he said no but they were jumping.
I proceeded to make a cast from the top of the dyke, and slowly made my way down the rocks. Once I was halfway down, a fish hit it hard and I was into one on my first cast.
I looked down, CM's dad was looking up with disbelief, and shaking his head.
The fish came in fairly fast. Once it surfaced, I saw that it was a chrome female pink. I gave the hook a couple of shake and the fish was on her way up the Fraser, didn't plan to keep any fish today.
I made about 10 more casts after that. Had a couple more hits, but nothing too significant. Lucky hooked into a fish as well during that time.
Not as many fish, but enough to keep you occupied if you fish hard.
