well i tied up some roe bags and i want input on them. its spring roe and i was wondering should i save the roe bacgs for steelies or use them on coho. keeping in mind when fishing with coho u often hook a big spring or foul hooked chum that snaps u off .
so whats you input

Do you fish for Steelies the same way you do for coho?

simular, but for steelies i like to look what the conditions are like, and go lighter line/light leader. light float and heaveir.

A little steely trick for you: Match the hatch (or spawn as it may be in this case).
Over the years of plying steel, it has become rather obvious to me and my buddies, when the springs are in full spawn, their eggs are the best bait, same with coho, but even more so with chum! I unfortunately found that out a couple years back, when a buddy was using fresh chum bagged singles, and I the same but spring eggs. He caught 18 fish that day, I hit but three. The next day, I had learned the lesson, and armed with chumly RB's had no problem keeping up to my partner. Seems they, like most trout in frsh water, get somewhat selective, and do zone in on what's on the current menu much faster than anything else...
