A good day for you Randy, good to see the "Randog Float going down a number of times for you. ;D Yes, I heard just yesterday that the Point was closing down. I had my last steak and eggs there a week ago. I wonder if anyone else is going to take over.

Thanks very much for the 4 items you donated today that I picked up from Peter this afternoon, very generous of you. This will certainly help make the SDA fundraiser in November a success. We are all working on getting as many prizes as possible.

Fishon and I hit the lower river today from early afternoon till dark. Landed a  number of jack springs and chums. Had so many bright chums for a while in one spot that it felt like early November on the Squamish. Fishon also kept a spring of about 15 pounds that turned out to be a red! :) The river level and clarity seemed perfect. There were a fair number of people around but we had no trouble finding nice water to fish. Lots of fun.  ;D Next time I've got to get that first coho of the year.

I'll add my 2 cents... couldn't wait to get out there and try the new gear (Sage Rod and Islander Reel). Got into quite a few pinks and one chum - so the equipment works well, the operator still needs some training. Decided to switch back to my drift rod for an hour before I called it quits. Caught a spring jack (~3-4lbs) on a Colorado Blade - it was in excellent shape, chrome and get this ... it was red ???.  Was it lost or just extremely late...bizarre.

Way better outing than on the morning of the previous day on the salt water in the West Van area...crazy busy. We had one on but the faulty down rigger clip wouldn't release and we lost it.

Cheers
Justin

Haven't been to the vedder since last year this time :(.   Has the river changed much this past year, or are all the holes re-arranged like they were from the year before?  Thanks, BR
